[Action Research] as an ‘Educational action research can be engaged in by a single teacher, by a group of colleagues who share an interest in a common problem, or by the entire faculty of a school. It will help in selecting a focus, clarifying theories, identifying research questions, collecting data, analysing data, reporting results, taking informed action.
The project will be beneficial to the enhancement of independent and networked learning by developing PLEs/Networks and CILs skills in the students. It will be ‘Ground-breaking as creative teaching is only possible when we can challenge orthodoxies and experiment, innovate and take creative risks as pedagogically informed and highly-skilled educators.’ (UAL Teaching and Learning Strategy). It will help, ‘…embed the digital within all aspects of teaching and learning to prepare students for digital futures. Develop staff and student’s digital capacity using a wide range of approaches that include blended learning/workshops/short courses/bespoke training and research. It will be an investigation, ‘…into the appropriation of digital technology by students to inform the development of services and [help] keep colleagues up to speed on evolving approaches to learning. It will be a project that, works ‘…with colleagues to shape the ongoing development and research of relevant areas such as Open Practice, Digital Literacy and Digital Identity.
